Artifact Description
The basis of this
project was to create a mini-unit that utilized technology in facilitating the
development of problem solving and higher-order thinking skills. I created a four
week mini-unit where students will gain a better understanding of endangered
and extinct animals and the ways they can help save endangered animals. They
will be using the Internet for group research and they will also be creating a
VoiceThread presentation as part of their final project.
Rationale
Throughout the creation of this
mini-unit, I made sure to integrate technology in order to enhance and maximize
learning. The planning of an open-ended project allows the students to use
critical thinking skills to plan and conduct
research, manage projects, and solve problems.
