It is important to keep current with new technology operations and concepts in order to assist educators with all of their needs. Tech facilitators must be available and knowledgeable in order to offer teachers technology services, professional developments, and resources.
TF-II Planning and Designing Learning Environments and Experiences
Educational technology facilitators plan, design, and model effective learning environments and multiple experiences supported by technology.
- This standard discusses how technology facilitators design developmentally appropriate learning opportunities with the help and support of teachers. The facilitators will be available to consult with and assist teachers in integrating technology into diverse curriculum units. Not only will they plan and design learning opportunities, but they will model them as well. The training that the facilitators receive will impact the learning environment. The tech facilitator should be up to date on current technology resources and tools in order to plan effective experiences with the teachers for the students.

Educational technology facilitators apply and implement curriculum plans that include methods and strategies for utilizing technology to maximize student learning.
- This standard discusses how technology facilitators address content standards and technology standards while applying and implementing curriculum plans. Using a technology rich curriculum will help students with skills such as higher order thinking and problem solving. Technology facilitators need to make sure that technology standards are being addressed and implemented by teachers during the lessons within technology rich curriculum units. This standard also addresses the importance of planning units based on the diverse needs of students.

- This standard discusses how technology should be used to assess and evaluate student learning. Teachers, as well as tech facilitators, should be providing clear and immediate feedback to students. It is important for the tech facilitators to model the use of a variety of technology tools that can be used to assess and evaluate students, or support the process. Again, they will be available to the teachers needs in order to improve learning and instruction by making things easier and current with the changing times. In addition to providing assessment tools, the tech facilitators will offer resources and tools that help in analyzing data, interpreting results, and communicating findings.
TF-V Productivity and Professional Practice
Educational technology facilitators apply technology to enhance and improve personal productivity and professional practice.
- This standard discusses how students AND teachers can benefit from technology use. Technology facilitators must teach, train, and model for the teachers in order for them to use the technology appropriately and efficiently. They offer professional development opportunities that promote lifelong learning for the educators. Technology also increases productivity and teachers need to be introduced to tools, resources, and skills necessary to improve and enhance productivity and practice.
TF-VI Social, Ethical, Legal, and Human Issues
Educational technology facilitators understand the social, ethical, legal, and human issues surrounding the use of technology in PK-12 schools and assist teachers in applying that understanding in their practice.
- This standard discusses a variety of issues that tech leaders face with the introduction and implementation of new technology. The tech facilitators must be prepared for any legal, human, social, or ethical issues that arise. They can be prepared by keeping current on technology related practices. They can also provide professional development to teach about these issues and how to use technology in a responsible way. The tech facilitators also have a job to help teachers integrate various forms of technology into curriculum units and lessons that enable and empower those with diverse backgrounds.
TF-VII Procedures, Policies, Planning, and Budgeting for Technology Environments
Educational technology facilitators promote the development and implementation of technology infrastructure, procedures, policies, plans, and budgets for PK-12 schools.
- This standard discusses how tech facilitators use, plan, and budget for technology at schools. They keep current on new technology tools that would benefit teachers and the school itself. The tech facilitators will be knowledgeable about what is needed, necessary, and appropriate for their school. They make decisions abot technology in their school based on policies, planning, and budget. Once the technology is purchased, the tech facilitators will model and teach the teachers about the new technology, install and maintain the technology, and make sure that the technology is being used to its maximum advantage.

Educational technology facilitators will contribute to the shared vision for campus integration of technology and foster an environment and culture conducive to the realization of the vision.
- This standard discusses the importance of leadership and a vision when it comes to the technology at a school. If change is to occur, the tech facilitators need to discuss and evaluate current trends and research prior to implementing or purchasing new technology. The tech facilitators must be leaders in the development and evaluation of technology planning.
