Welcome to my portfolio!
“All growth depends upon activity. There is no development physically or intellectually without effort, and effort means work.” - Calvin Coolidge
Welcome! In this site, you will find several of my artifacts that I have created within my Technology in Education Master's Program at National Louis University. The past two years have been all about change and growth. I have learned to embrace the changes in our world and in my own personal life in order to grow to the fullest potential.
Use the page links above to see how I addressed each of the eight standards for technology facilitators through the artifacts that I have created. Be sure to read my educational philosophy, which also continues to grow and change as I explore new ideas and information that may change my beliefs. In addition, my professional library is a complete annotated bibliography of resources that have helped me through this journey.

About Me
My name is Megan Tennant and I am originally from Long Island, New York! After living on the east coast my whole life, I decided it was time for a change and moved to the good ole Midwest to start my college career. I graduated from Saint Mary's College in Indiana in 2010 as an Elementary Education major (Early Childhood minor). While in school, I met my husband, Patrick and I moved to Chicago, IL after graduation to be near him. In November 2010, we got engaged and about a year and a half later were married in my hometown. We are moving to Long Island in June 2013 to be closer to family and friends. I will be receiving my diploma this September (2013), which is about two weeks after I have our first child! I started the TIE program at National Louis University in August 2011 and I am very proud of all that I have accomplished in less than two years. I have always been interested in technology integration in education and now I feel much more confident in my ability to be a technology specialist at my school. My life is constantly changing and growing, but I love every second of it!
